AZ: Temp US 89 expired?
« on: March 10, 2016, 06:15:30 am »
Yesterday, I drove US 89 through the small town of Gap, at the southern end of US 89 Temp LeChee (az.us089tmplec). There is no longer any US 89 Temp signage on the US 89 mainline in Gap, in either direction -- only route signage for the temp route is now as Navajo route 20.

I didn't drive past the US 89 Temp north end in Page, or along any of the temporary route, so I don't know the signage situation outside Gap. But it looks like the prolonged US 89 closure south of Page that prompted creation of the temporary route (see http://clinched.s2.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=1819&highlight=arizona&mforum=clinched) is over, as well as perhaps the temp route itself.

If we remove the temp route from the HB, some points on US 89 and AZ 98 would need to be relabeled.

Bumping because this hasn't been resolved. There seems to be a big backlog of threads in this forum whose issues haven't gotten fixed yet.

There's also one for truncating US 180's west end to the south boundary of Grand Canyon NP.

The team member who was maintaining AZ hasn't been heard from for awhile. I might take care of both issues, once I return from a short road trip.
