Review (part 1):

KY2972: point at James Karnes Rd?
KY2968: point at Otha Byrant Rd?
KY2924: shaping point -> TraRd
KY2862: point at Old Mill Rd?
KY2857: point for where New Moody Lane heads over to KY53?
KY2856: shaping point replaced with visible point at Fox Trail Drive?

Various routes get close to the limit when it comes to shaping, you might want to add some unnecessary shaping points to fit the road's alignment better.

I thought KY2998 was signed. GMSV shows a sign on KY1804, and I've got it tagged as signed in my personal KY route database. It's been a while since I've been there, and the GMSV imagery is old, so maybe this has changed?  By the way, KY2998 is a horrible road to clinch; broken pavement, super narrow.

Thanks for pointing that one out. I looked at the GMSV imagery and saw the signs on 1804, but that imagery was from 2008. The KYTC imagery from 2014 doesn't show the signs there, and the signposts are gone as well, which seems to say that the road is no longer signed, rather than the victim of sign thieves. Were you there more recently than 2014?

Here's my source; maybe you'll find it useful preparing yourself for future trips so you know what to expect on the roads!

I stand corrected. I'm gonna go with the KYTC imagery, as it most likely was before 2014 since I've clinched KY1804 & KY2998. You have to hand it to Kentucky...as ridiculous as their highway system is, they do keep good track of it AND provide easy-to-find info on it. I hand no idea they had imagery too.

Given that the southernmost end of KY 2830 is the older US 60/US 231 alignment, could the shaping point on that route be replaced by an OldUS60 point?

That seems reasonable (the point is there for exactly that reason). Given that there is no intersecting road there currently, at least not one with a name, how does *OldUS60_E sound?

Or just *OldUS60, which generally fits with our naming criteria.

Well, at its western terminus, KY144 was once US60 as well. Nevertheless, it's likely that more of the road was US60 even further back, so I suppose there's no need to be over-specific for the name here until something else changes. Fixed in my fork.

I made the suggested corrections for 2857, 2968, and 2972.

2856: I think the shaping point ends up shaping it more realistically, and Trail Dr is minor, so to me there's no obvious benefit to making the change.
2862: I'm not sure what's gained by adding that point.
2924: I actually spent a lot of time researching this when I created the file. The long driveway there seems to be a shared private driveway. There is no Trapp Rd anywhere nearby, and all 3 homes on the driveway have a Tollgate Rd address (the local name for KY2924) according to the county GIS.

I just added more shaping points to KY2500-2855, so I hope the rest are easier to review.

I've looked over all the routes just now, and the only thing I can see is that you might want to add a point at Shepherdsville Road on KY2845.

I debated that one for a while when I created the file. Added now.

Now that the peer review is done, are there any objections to activating this set by adding it to usaky on November 11?
