CT2A exit renumbering
« on: July 14, 2016, 01:15:14 pm »
From the old CHM forum:

Connecticut is renumbering exits on all highways to be milepost based. But they're only doing it as the signs wear out across an entire road, so they expect it will take 20 years to replace everything.

I-395 and CT2A are already done (last year some time), although the latest published route log (see link "Highway Log" near the bottom of the DOT publications page) is from 2014 and does not have the new numbers.

This article has the most legible list of old/new numbers for both routes that I've seen, and claims there won't be more changes for several more years.

I-395 is already updated in the TM HB.
I have a pending pull request to fix the two interchange labels on CT12.

CT2A:
I-395(80) -> I-395(11), at the very least.
The article oxlahun linked suggests that I-395(79A) -> 4, 1 -> 5, and 2 -> 6. Anyone know if these changes have been posted in the field yet?

I drove to Mohegan Sun this March, and I can confirm that it is exit 5 and 6 EB.

Excellent, thanks. I'm going to assume Exit 4 is correct too, then. It's all shown in Google...
As an exit-numbered highway, this'll actually be getting an 11(395) label instead of I-395(11). Precedent:

Just updated my .list file, I think it's in the HB, and can be marked as resolved.
